Spirits incubator Distill Ventures presented a Whisky at Home Summit that asked: Is the living room the new tasting room? Whisky distillery founders, experts and marketers discussed the future of virtual tasting, education and sales. 

US craft distillers’ sales halved in 2020 according a study conducted by the American Distilling Institute and published in The Spirits Business.

BC Local News reported that a new distillery, Maehem Spirits, was coming to Port Alberni at the end of this year.

Cochrane Today reported that the Whispering Dutchman Distillery launched in the Southern Alberta city last fall. It makes a variety of flavoured gin and vodka, moonshine, bottled cocktails and liqueurs like a Dutch Coffee Cream.

The Prince Albert Daily Herald reported that Phantom Light Distillery, a micro-distillery planning to make gin, spiced vodka and spiced rum, was settting up in the rural municipality of Buckland.

Discover Moose Jaw reported that Imperial Distillery, in the works there for two years, expected to start production soon this year. 

The Review Newspaper reported that a new distillery for Artist in Residence Distillerie, planned for Hawkesbury, Ontario, construction this year, would not be up and running until the autumn of 2022.
