Canadian Whisky Awards

The 2021 Canadian Whisky Awards (CWA) were announced via live stream by Davin de Kergommeaux on Thursday, February 25, 2021.

The bulk of the honours went to Canada’s large distillers, including Windsor’s Hiram Walker Distillery ( 2021 Distillery of the Year), and Canadian Club Chronicles (Canadian Whisky of the Year).

Our smaller distilleries are making their mark, though, earning several top prizes, as well as a good collection of gold, silver, and bronze medals. Like the Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition, the CWA conducts rigorous, blind assessment of their entries, and does not award 'participation prizes’. Medals are earned.
